ScoreMasters®

Different projects. One standard: a score that holds up under pressure.

ScoreMasters® serves clients who cannot afford unclear or inaccurate notation: composers preparing for rehearsal, producers heading into the studio, publishers going to print, and conductors who need legible parts on the stand. Find your work below and see how we prepare it.

Your mockup sold the cue. Now the orchestra has to deliver it.

On a scoring stage, time is the most expensive thing in the room, and the orchestra can only play what is on the page. A MIDI export rarely translates cleanly: tangled rhythms, missing articulations, and wrong transpositions all cost session time. And there is a deeper problem notation alone does not show. A mockup gets its power from stacked sample libraries doubling the same lines; a live orchestra reaches that fullness another way, through the doublings, register choices, and instrument combinations the orchestrator writes into the score.

We transform your DAW mockup into a session-ready orchestral score and parts, applying composer-level judgment to idiomatic writing, acoustic balance, articulations, dynamics, and the ensemble logic a live performance depends on. We interpret and quantize the MIDI, reduce a hundred-plus-track template to a playable orchestral lineup, correct enharmonics and transpositions, write string divisi the way players expect to read it, and lay out page turns for live performance. The result sounds the way you imagined it, prepared so the orchestra can play it instead of decoding it.

Scores prepared here have been recorded with ensembles such as the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonie Leipzig, and the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Music Publishers & Rights-Holders

Music notation your imprint can put its name on.

Publishing sets the highest bar for music engraving, because the page will outlive the project. We prepare publication-quality scores and parts in Dorico, Sibelius, or Finale, matched to your house style, spacing, and typography, and we digitize existing catalogs from manuscript or aging files into clean, editable, print-ready editions. Every project includes two rounds of revisions, not the single round offered elsewhere at the publisher tier, so the final proof is clean before it goes to print.

Past work includes Editions Bim (Roland Szentpali's Cataclysms, Laurie Altman's The Colloquists, and Charles Reskin's Friedrichstrasse) and engraving for the catalogs of Mikis Theodorakis, Jani Christou, Stefanos Korkolis, Martin Mayer, Brian Field, and Victoria Jordanova.

Musical Theater, Songwriters, Artists & Producers

From a sketch or a demo to the parts on every stand.

Whether you are staging a show, producing a record, or bringing an artist's material to a live ensemble, the music has to travel from an idea to a room full of players without losing what made it work. We prepare full orchestrations, conductor's scores, ensemble reductions, and precise instrumental parts, taking a sketch or a MIDI file all the way to the pit, the stage, or the session. That includes vocal scores set in the singer's key and rehearsal-ready piano-vocal reductions. If your song began in Suno or another AI tool, we turn it into a score your players can read.

Our work has appeared on releases with BMG, Universal, Polydor, Minos EMI, Legend, and RCA, for Grammy winners Kitt Wakeley and Roï Azoulay, for songwriters, instrumentalists, and vocalists including Haris Alexiou, and for the Special Olympics. Scores prepared here have been performed and recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the City of London Choir, the Warsaw Philharmonic, and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.

Classical & Concert Composers

Busy composers delegate the engraving and the orchestration.

A concert work goes through two phases. First the music, then the professional engraving: score layout, part extraction, cues, rehearsal marks, and page turns that stand between a completed composition and materials an orchestra can rehearse from. The second phase is craft. It runs to hundreds of hours on a large work, and there is no reason it has to come out of your composing time.

Bring a sketch, a piano reduction, a handwritten manuscript, or a notation file, and receive a publication-quality score prepared according to your brief, with parts set to the conventions professional players expect: correct transpositions, idiomatic divisi, legible cues, and page turns placed where the music allows them. Where a work exists only as a sketch, orchestration and arranging are part of the same commission, written to your instrumentation and your intentions.

Engraving, orchestration, and arranging prepared for composers including Mimis Plessas, Stefanos Korkolis, Brian Field, and Michael Karras. Commissions have been performed at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and others recorded by the Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, the "Serghei Lunchevici" National Philharmonic, and the Sofia Amadeus Orchestra.

Ensembles, Choirs & Orchestras

An arrangement written for your performers, your soloist, and your program.

Most ensembles come to us for the same thing: an arrangement or orchestration written for the group they actually have, not a generic chart reworked to fit. Whether it is a concert medley, a well-known song adapted to your instrumentation, or a feature arranged for a guest soloist on a single program, we score it for your forces, in the keys and ranges your performers and soloist need. Every arrangement comes fully prepared: a clean conductor's score and parts with consistent articulation, cues where performers need them, and page turns that fall on rests, so rehearsal time is spent on the music rather than the page.

Arrangements prepared here have been performed by ensembles including Philharmonia Bulgarica, Orchestra Puellarum Pragensis, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the City of Athens Symphony Orchestra, the City of Athens Philharmonic, the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra, and Camerata – Friends of Music Orchestra.

Educators & Institutions

Materials prepared by a music educator.

Educational material has to fit the student it is written for, and it has to come from someone who knows what that level can actually handle. We prepare three kinds of material for educators and institutions: graded arrangements matched to a student's technical level, from beginner charts to advanced ensemble pieces; clean music examples engraved for method books, manuals, handouts, textbooks, and exam material; and, drawing on decades of classroom teaching, curriculum design, course syllabi, and teaching materials for conservatories, schools, and individual instructors. All of it arrives ready to teach from.

ScoreMasters is led by Samy Elgazzar, a Berklee Online Teaching Assistant from 2016 to 2023, with more than two decades as a conservatory instructor, curriculum designer, and private teacher, and the author of two music theory and technology textbooks adopted as official conservatory texts.

Sacred Music

Worship music prepared with reverence and stylistic integrity.

Sacred music carries a tradition, and the music notation has to respect it. We prepare liturgical orchestrations, choral arrangements, and worship music with fidelity to the style it comes from, whether that means setting a Divine Liturgy, Vespers, or feast-day hymns for choir, or preparing hymnals, choral octavos, and congregational and cantor editions for the parish. We also support the broader publishing work religious institutions depend on, from hymn collections and youth and educational music to multilingual settings, engraved to your templates and house style. We work with communities of many faiths and denominations, in unison and harmonized settings alike.

ScoreMasters served as arranger for the Sunday of Orthodoxy Concerts in honor of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Constantinople, and has prepared scores and parts for the Beverly Hills Synagogue and for Catholic churches.
